How to Spot Narcissism/Fear Based Tactics in Sales when You are Shopping & How to Do it Right if You are Selling
When you are shopping and come across these kind of statements, you know it is time to call it out or walk away.
I’m NEVER offering this EVER again, or like Commodus says to Maximus in Gladiator: take my hand brother, I only offer it once.
Buy now or be a loser, or something that specifically feeds off your weakness with the seller/provider as the ONLY solution.
Anyone that doesn’t want to be in my elite group is a bottom feeder or vampire. This is their projection. Narcissists, psychopaths, sociopaths, and gas-lighters accuse you specifically of what they are and are doing to you.
Some people that are elite, and have the most money, are beneath you. Like Zuby says in one of his raps: “If I die, stand on my grave, and you fools would be beneath me.” This is why they over compensate and jack themselves up so high on money, status, power, and material possessions.
When I say some people I mean it - not all people who are rich and wealthy are this way at all. I want to be clear here on this.
I was on 2 email lists recently where these type of fear based tactics were used. The point I want to make is this.
When you are committed to your craft, servant leadership, providing value, building relationships that lead to sales in the long run and develop trust, and leaving a legacy with your business there is no need to do this. Like Maximus says in Gladiator: what we do in life echoes in eternity.
At best, these people are in immediate need of income. At worst, you found a true con artist and master manipulator that knows exactly what they are doing. They roll these out, and sit back and wait for someone to take the bait that hooks right into a weakness or vulnerability.
I know the plight of the freelancer/small business owner and how it can go. The way to generate income with a post though is by providing value, and offering a sale with a deadline to generate income that encourages people to buy sooner rather than later.
Lastly - please note: I am not saying bolding and CAPS don’t have their place in sales excellence. I like bolding text and using caps to make a point like I did above. Do it though in a professional, dignified, and respectful way. Use them to make the offer, message, and value stand out.
